SEO is extremely important because it can increase traffic to your business’ website by making it easier for online users to find your website through major search engines, like Google. You want your website to be one of the first sites that pops up in the search results after a user types in keywords related to your business and/or industry. If it doesn’t, someone else’s website is showing up and users will likely click on their website and give them business. Users will not scroll through pages and pages of website results to find your business. They want quick results for quick solutions to whatever problem or matter they need help resolving.

How to Develop a SEO Strategy

One of the best ways to help your SEO is to ensure that you are effectively using metadata. Metadata is made up of meta titles, meta descriptions, and keywords. Metadata is input into the backend of the website, normally input by a web developer or whoever is in charge of your website development. It is imperative that metadata is added to each webpage that is a part of your overall website. In other words, if your website has four pages – 1) Home page 2) About Us page 3) Services page 4) Contact Us page – you will want different meta titles, meta descriptions, and keywords associated with all 4 pages.  Let’s break down the components of metadata, shall we!

Meta titles – The title of your webpage. For example, if you are searching for a business on Google, you will see the title in big, blue lettering. Titles are normally the first thing that catches a users eye when searching for something, and it explains the overall subject of the webpage.

Meta descriptions – Meta descriptions are a more in depth glimpse of the content covered on a particular webpage. The descriptions are found underneath the title and page URL. It is important to have a strong meta description for each webpage because users will read them to determine whether your page is worth clicking on to read more. 

Keywords – At Pearl Marketing, we still feel that keywords are important to include in your metadata. It’s important to first understand what keywords people are using to search for the products and services you provide. Think about the words used most in your line of business. Do your research and see what language your competition is using. Then create a list of keywords associated to the words on each webpage of your website and popular words used within your industry. This will allow for your website to be found when users input those keywords into the search bar on search engines, like Google. For example, if you are a hair designer, it would be good to use keywords like “affordable,” “experienced,” “hair designer,” “stylist,” “professional,” “best,” “near me” for your home page.

A key aspect to effectively developing your business’ website is to ensure that the content provided is clear to understand, as well as organized and laid out to be generally attractive. Websites that have moving content or chat boxes tend to have a greater amount of traffic because users are highly attracted to engaging content. For SEO purposes, the words and phrases you use within the text of the content on each web page is important because these words and phrases can increase the odds for your website to appear first during a search, rather than another business’ instead. 

 

If your business barely has any metadata or does not have words and phrases related to the metadata within the web pages, then it will most likely appear somewhere far down the search engine line. Studies have shown that most individuals do not click past the first or second pages during a Google search, as they are usually satisfied with the information provided on the first page. What is this “Lead Nurturing” term all about?

Perhaps you’ve heard the term “Lead Generation” and understand that it’s the process of generating leads to your business to ultimately increase sales. In order to increase sales, you have to make the sale by turning the lead into an actual customer. This process refers to the lesser known, yet equally as important, term called “Lead Nurturing.” A lead nurturing process must exist as a part of your lead generation marketing strategy to convert the leads into loyal customers. Lead nurturing campaigns exist to create relationships with potential clients and positively nurture relationships with existing clients. This process drives revenue from a structured database of leads through marketing campaigns. 

What is a Lead Nurturing Campaign?

A lead generation campaign consists of a marketing goal, usually, but not limited to, increasing awareness about a product or service, or a limited time offer or sale. The nurturing part comes into play when the lead has been captured and the business/company follows up in various, strategic ways to pursue the lead to become a customer.

The process of lead nurturing often consists of a landing page that provides relevant content and a call to action, and emails that entice the readers and present the value of what is being campaigned. A lead nurturing process can also be referred to as “drip marketing,” which relates back to the general idea of a funnel system. Through client grouping, personalized messages, and sales strategies, the potential buyer is assisted through each key part of the journey until making a sale through marketing automation. These automations become possible to create through a customer relationship management tool, also known as a CRM (see the end of this blog for more information on CRM tools).

Email drip campaigns are one of the fundamental aspects involved in lead nurturing. They are important throughout any industry in order to remain in contact with valued clients and interested leads. Planning these campaigns in advance saves time and money for the company and saves time for the lead as well. Preparing campaigns by using marketing automations help information get relayed in a timely and accurate manner, and ensures that you don’t miss an opportunity to convert a lead into a customer. The best part about marketing automations is how personalized the messages provided can be to cater to specific clientele. These personalized messages are also able to be tracked by the distributor as well, which can build overall stronger client relationships.

We are going to describe a campaign strategy to help you understand how these automations can benefit and positively influence your business’ mission. Provide a free incentive, like a white paper, or a successful case study relating to the progress that your company has made as a whole.

A white paper discusses a major problem within an industry and your company provides the solution within the white paper. Show that your business has the readers overall best interest in mind, which you do! This is referred to as, “Doing more with less”. A case study provides real life examples to potential or already existing clients, which proves that your company represents strong values and is reliable. This relates back to the idea of nurturing, as you are continuing to engage with clients to help them see the value and find the solutions in what you are providing them.

The rest of the campaign emails should be primarily service or product focused. Continue to explain how your products or services solve the readers problem, but attach limited time offers exclusively to them as the campaign automations move along. Showing your products or services to be different without downgrading opposing companies is viewed as positive competition Here’s an example!
